The students played a kahoot game. The students would have to find the hidden geometrical shapes in every picture! They loved it!
It was a January event!
We created the “month May 2026” for the collaborative calendar (a collaborative activity of all partner schools).
We created the numbers 1 to 31 ourselves! We used markers! The students loved it!
"How would we cook without numbers? How would we shop without numbers? How would we know when to ring the bell without any numbers in the clock?"
We prepared cards with the numbers 1 to 9. In fact, we literally made them! We used lego bricks and you can see them by clicking on the image below.
We played a counting game in which we counted sticks and placed them on cards with the corresponding number, in the specified time of one minute. When all the cards were finished, we started the second and third rounds. The game was implemented in groups, with a random selection of players. We calculated the points by applying the order of operations (first multiplication, then addition) and at the end the final sum. We confirmed our results using the Calculator application on the computer. We used digital means to randomly create the groups. The game was based on the method of gamified learning.
Children and teachers completed initial questionnaires, regarding previous participation in an eTwinning project as well as their relationship with mathematics – the central theme of the project.
